STATEMENT BY MR. SLDDON. ' BY TELEGRAriI.—OWN correspondent. ] Wellington, Friday. At it luncheon to some returning troopers at Parliament IJuildiiigs to-day Mi. Seddon said that what we were hoping for was that Lord Roberts would come to New Zealand and see our people and our soldiers, and he believed they would give him a welcome equal to the'welcome given to their Royal Highnesses. Lord ltoberts had expressed a desire to visit New Zealand, and would like to meet on their own soil and amongst their own people our gallant lads who had fought for him 'and for the Empire.
