STORMY WEATHER.
FLOODS AT NELSON. [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Nelson, Wednesday. A severe north-east gale, accompanied by heavy rain, raged last night. All the rivers in the district are in high Hood. At Takaka the township was under water dining the night. There was water also in several houses at Bright-water. Two breaches were made in the Stoke end of the Rocks Road wall. The rainfall for June to date is nearly Tin. as against only Jin in the whole of May. News has; been received that the college and school cadets, who left for Christchurcn, via Pit ton and Wellington, last night, had a rough trip to Picton, occupying over 12 hours.
