AUCKLAND SCOTTISH RIFLE VOLUNTEERS.
• :,, TO THE EDITOR. * Sir, Some time ago an idea was formed of a kilted volunteer corps in Auckland, and there the matter seemed to drop. As an old member ,of the late Canterbury Scottish Rifle Volunteers, disbanded under Colonel Fox, I for one. should like to see suchJia corps formed in our city, and will only be ttjio pleased to give up my evenings and assist in any way I can if we can raise such i a company here. It would not be necessary that every member should ho a Scotchman.' I am not, but my name.will go in.—l sua. *;, . ' : '' ' C, Coiincs? Nelson-street, Auckland, March 16, > 1901.
