MASONIC.
LODGE ST. ANDREW, No. 118, S.C. The annual installation of Lodge St. Andrew, No. 418, S.C, took place in the Masonic Hall, Princes-street, last night. Bros. A. B. Wright, R.W.M., and William Caron, P.M. P.G.S., acted as installing masters. ' The ' presenting officers were -Brothers F. Prime, W.M., Lodge Ara, 348, 1.0., and H. Hull, W.M., Lodge Waitemata, 659, S.C. There was a large attendance of visiting ■ brethren from the English, Irish, and Scottish Constitutions, and the P.G.M. (Brother William McCullough) and his officers. 1 lie Worshipful Grand Master and the officers ol ih*- Grand Lodge of the North Island, S.C., Were received with the customary honours, also the Grand Lodge of England, represented by Brother Clark and his officers; and , the Irish lodges, represented by Brother t : Prime, W.M., of Lodge Ara. After the recep- . tion and installation and investiture of officers took place, Brother W. E. Haslam being installed in the chair of King Solomon, in accordance with ancient custom. He then invested his officers as followsi : — 1.P.M., Brother A. B. Wright; D.M., Brother W. Laird; S.M., Brothe. J. W. Harrison, P.M.; S.W., Brother J. A. Wood- " ward; J.W., Brother G. H. Phimmer; secre- ■--., tary and treasurer, Brothe. T N. Baker; D. of C, Brother C F Griffiths, P.M.; 8.8. : Brother G. G. Menzies;"' S.D., Brother J. W. Browne; J.D., Brothe J. J- Camplin; jeweller, Brother A. Kohn, L.G., Brother W. R. O. Walker; S.S., Brother A. li. Foster; J.S., Brother R, 11. Abbott; organist, Brother J. H. Phillpot. Afte. the ceremony P.G.M. McCullough presented Brother A B. Wright, 1.P.M., on behalf of the brethren, 'with a beautifully-designed ' past master's jewel. In making the presentation, Brothel McCullough referred in eulogistic terms to the services which Brother • Wright had rendered to the lodge and craft during his two years of office in Lodge St. Andrew. ' After the ceremonies wore coneluded, the brethren adjourned to the banquet ball where a number of toasts were Riven and responded to: but owin>, to the death of Her Majesty the Queen, the usual musical programme was dispensed with.
