CRICKET.

Thb second round of the first-grade eridk«* championship matches will he commenced to-morrow afternoon. The second round of the second-grade matches, which -were commenced on the 10th ia»i., will also be resumed to-morrow. The following players will represent their respective clubs: — Gordon v. A meeting of the Management Commits® of the Auckland Amateur Athletic Club was held at the Amateur Sports Ciub rooms last evening, Mr. Leo. Myers (vice-president) in the chair. AUCKLAND CYCLE ROADS LEAGUE. A meeting of the Council of the Auckland Cycle Roads League was held on Tuesday, 27th inst. Messrs. J. H. Henton, J. B. McFarlane, and R. Noton were unanimously elected members of the Council. It was resolved to taka up the defence of the member? of the League who were riding on the Epsom footpaths, and employ a lawyer to defend at Court when the cases came on. It was decided to appoint Messrs. Davies, Reynolds, and P. A. Vaile as delegates to confer with other cyclists re the Cycle Boards Bill, and that the secretary be instructed to write to the leading cyclists in Dunedin, Wellington, and Christchurch, asking them to also appoint delegates, to meet in Christchurch during the forthcoming Christmas holidays, and discuss the Bill at length. It was also resolved to invite the members of both Houses to meet the Council on December 11, for the same purpose, and that a general meeting of the league should be called on December 13. Th rules of he league were finally revised and passed. The Council desire tc acknowledge with hearty thanks donations of £2 2s from Mr. 0. Fowlds, M.H.R., and 103 from Mr. J. J. Craig. CAMBRIDGE AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB'S SPORTS. [from OCR own correspondent.} The above club held on Wednesday afternoon the best sports gathering that has ever taken place in Cambridge.
