SHOW AT TAURANGA.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Taukanga, Thursday, The sixth annual show, under the auspices of the Tauranga Agricultural and Pastoral Association, was held to-day. The weather was most auspicious, and visitors from all the surrounding districts, Upper Thames, and Auckland, were greatly in evidence. The show was one of the best yet held here, and taking it all round the exhibits were of a high-class order, especially in produce of all kinds. The exhibits of horses were far beyond those of previous years, especially useful active light carriage horses. The cattle of all kinds exhibited were of a superior ' class, especially from the Assets Company's estates. The exhibits of produce, vegetables, fruit, and flowers were a credit to the place, and called for general approbation. A very line show of implements from Auckland and local manufacturers, and also from Waihi, were greatly admired, and received general commendation all round. A parade of the full strength of the Tauranga Mounted Rifles took place at one o'clock, and was a great attraction, the manoeuvres being skilfully carried out under Captain Lewis and his lieutenants. The most interesting events of the day were the jumping competitions, which attracted large fields. Miss H. Brown was successful in carrying off the prize for the ladies' jump. The horse high jump was won by Mrs. Wright's Larry, who cleared the creditable height of sft l*£in amidst a round of applause.
