VOLUNTEERING NEWS.
OTAMATEA MOUNTED RIFLES. The corps met at their headquarters, Paparoa, on Saturday. November 24, and thero was a large attendance, of members and spectators to watch the proceedings. Captain F. Colbeck. commanding officer, i was in command, and Lieutenants Nutsford, Snelling, and Coates, and Surgeon-Captain Carolan were also present. The troop is now recruited up to the full strength of 80. It was decided to go into camp on December 13, the ground at Messrs. Colbeek Brothers having kindly been placed at the disposal of the corps. Weekly parades will be held at Paparoa headquarters every Saturday at three p.m. Messrs. W. H. Snelling and Geo. Skelton, J.P.'s., and Mr. E. Birtles were elected lion, members.—[A Correspondent.] RIFLE MATCH AT THAMES. [by TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Coromandel, Thursday. The Coromandel Rifles, under Captain Kenrick, leave here on Saturday morning by the excursion boat for the Thames, when 3 return rifle match will be fired with the Thames Navals. A good number of volunteers and visitors are expooted to tako ad vantage of the excursion. ,
