SUFFERED FROM RICKETS.
"MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED SCOTT'S EMULSION, AND SAID IT WAS THTj ONE THING THAT WOULD DO HEH THE MOST GOOD." It is a terrible thing to see children suffer ing from rickets. The inability of the sys tern to form a healthy skeleton structun leaves the bones in a soft condition, Am unable to stand the strain imposed on then without bending. There are many causes oi rickets, chief among them being a delicat< state of health, wherein the powers of digestion are weakened, and the system is unable to derive nourishment for the growing bonos. However, the same remedy which is so beneficial in all other wasting conditions of children is equally beneficial in rickets, as the following letter clearly proves: — " 61, Beadnell Road, "Forest Hill, London, S.E. „_ , "May 1, 1899. Gentleman, — gives me pleasure to inform you how,, well my little girl has progressed through taking Scott's Emulsion. When she was two years of age she was very delicate, had congestion of the lungs, and suffered from rickets, so that I had to have a special pair of high boots made for her. My doctor prescribed for her Scott's Emulsion, and said it was the one thing that would do her the most good. She has gradually improved, and at present is six years of age, has no cough, no sign of rickets, and is growing up strong. I enclose her photograph and desire to thank you for your excellent Emulsion, which is both food and medicine.—Yours truly, (Signed) "E. Walters." Parents should never lose sight of the importance of a healthy growth of bone in their children, and the time above all others to give this subject earnest attention is when the ohildren are small. If it is delayed or overlooked, there often develops a condition which is very diffioult to overcome. One reason Scott's Emulsion is so effectual in rickets is because it contains the hypophosphites of lime and soda, which are universally looked upon as a great assistance to healthy bone formation. Besides this, Scott's Emulsion contains an easy and palatable form of cod liver oil to give vitality and vigour to the system. By raising the standard of health Scott's Emulsion is beneficial in a hundred ways to all children who are growing. ■ ■ ■
