MAHARA ROYAL. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Tuesday. The operations at the low level have been continued during the past four weeks without any improvement being noticeable in the reef. It is now somewhat doubtful whether the reef will improve at this point, as the drive is fast approaching the surface on the side of the hill. During the month 120 tons of ore were treated for a return of 690z 12dwt of melted gold, valued at £204 9s. ECLIPSE (LIMITED). [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Thames, Tuesday. During the four weeks ending the 21st inst., the main drive has been extended a further distance of 30ft. Latterly a considerable quantity ot water has been flowing from the face, which is looked upon as an indication of another ore body being in close proximity, so that it is possible that new developments will shortly take place. The main reef is about 4ft thick, the quartz being of a very kindly nature, and showing a little free gold. It is intended to ease off the extension of the drive somewhat for a short time, in order to bring along the leading stope a further distance of, ISOft, so as to improve the ventilation in the drive.
