A complimentary concert will be tendered to the Very Rev. Dr. Egan, 0.5.8., in the Opera House on Tuesday, December 4-, by his many friends, on the occasion of his silver jubilee. The proceeds of the concert will be devoted exclusively towards renovating Di. Egan's presbytery. The programme is in the oapable hands of Mr. Arthur Towaey, and will be of a most attractive character. Tho Merce» Maori Regatta will take place on Saturday, December 8. There will be Maori iyai canoe races, and Maori war dances, fast excursion trains, and cheap fares. The entries for the races close on November 29.
