THE EMBLETON-CAMPANIA COLLISION.

By Telegraph.— Association.— London, November 21. In the case of the New Zealand barque Embleton v. the Cunard liner Campania, the Admiralty Court delivered judgment in favour of the barque, declaring that a speed of nine knots an hour in a fog was greatly excessive for a steamer. The Embleton was an iron barque of 1233 tons, .'and sailed from Liverpool on July 17 last) bound to Port Chalmers, with a full general cargo, including 20 tons of gunpowder. During a thick fog in the Irish Channel, on July 21, the barque was run down by the Campania, and cut in two. The first and second officers and five seamen of the Embleton were saved, and eleven drowned. The Embleton was owned by Messrs. P. Iredale and Porter, of Liverpool.
