THE UNITED FIRE AND MARINE INSURANCE COMPANY (Ltd.) At the annual meeting of the above company, held at Sydney on October 30, _ the following report of the company's business for the year ended September 30, 1900, was submitted and approved:—The total revenue for the year, including balance brought forward from previous year, was £133,981 Is 7d; the expenditure, £123,964 10s 9d; leaving a surplus of £15,016 13s lOd, which it has been determined to dispose of as follows: — To payment of dividend at rate of 10 per cent., £6822 lis 4d, less interim dividend, April, 1900, £3411 5s Bd—£34ll 5s 8d ; to reserve fund (now £56,000), £500; to balance carried forward to next year, £11,105 8s 2d; £15,016 13s lOd.
