CHARGES OF THEFT AND ATTEMPTED MURDER.

[BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Invehcap.GlLL, Wednesday. Charles Arnett was charged at Wyndham to-day on six informations with theft, the sum totalling £255. Cheques were drawn by F. J. Sullivan, Dunedin, in favour of Charles Milne, of Edendale, and evidence was given that Arnett paid them into his own account. Accused, who pleaded not guilty, is defended by Mr. Hanlon. The charge of attempted murder will probably not be heard for some days.
