KAURI GUM MARKET. The following arc ou. quotations of kauri gum for the week ending November 20, 1900: White gum: Poor ordinary, £23 to £25: good ordinary, unpicked, £43 and upwards; superior ordinary, £68 and upwards; East Coast (good quality), £70 and upwards; rescraped, £115 and upwards. Black gum; Nuts, £8 and upwards; mixed, £16 and upwards ; good, £48 and upwards. Remarks on market: Supplies for 20 days or November, 420 tons. The abova quotations are merely nominal, for business in gum is almost at a standstill at present. AUSTRALIAN MARKETS. Stdxet, November 21. Wheat, chick, 2s Id tc Za sd; milling, 2s 7d'to 2s Bd. GRAIN MARKET. I DUNEDiN. Wednesday. Wheat: Practically no business is doing at \ the moment, and lots changing hands must | be of prime quality Prime samples, 2s 5a to 2s 6d; medium, nominally, 2s 2d to 2s 4d; fowls' feed, 2s to 2s Id (sacks in). Oats- Owing to reported orders for Africa values have Improved, but there is really little local business doing, and prospects for higher prices are not encouraging. Sutnerlands and grade 176, good shipping lines, is 5d to Is 5Jd; medium, Is 3d to la 4Jd (sacks extra). , Barley: The market is stagnant and prices purely nominal. ADDINGTON STOCK SALES. CHEISTCHUECH. Wednesday. The entries at Addington to-day were: — 4066 fat sheep, 600 fat lambs. 1000 store sheep, 400 cattle, and 570 pigs; 195 fat cattle, mostly good to prime sorts, met with very fair sale, but beef was about 6d pel 1001b easier, owing to heavy supply. A show stee. brought £14 15s. Prime sorts, £10 to £12 ss; others, £6 17s 6d to £8 108; best heifers, £8 to £9 12s; others. £6 7s 6d to £7 10s; best cows, £8 10s to £10; others, £4 15s to £7. Stores were a rough lot. but met with good demand at £5 la 6d foi 3-year-old steers; £4 mixed 2-year-olds, and £2 16s for 12 to 15-months' cattle, , and £2 10s to £4 for dry cows. Fat sheep: Mostly shorn, were of good quality, but woollies were mostly unfinished. Freezers about held their own. bat butchers ewes were slightly easier. A few show sheep sold at high prices. Shorn show crossbred wethers brought 25s to 30s, and show merino wethers, out of wool, 255; heavy wethers, in wool, up to 26s 6d; freezers, 18s 6d to 245; shorn wethers, 15s 6d to 235: woolly ewes. 18s 3d to 235; shorn ditto, 12s 3d to 14s for fair up to 16s 9d for extra, prime: woolly merino wethers, 183 9d to 21s; and ewes, 12s 3d to 15s. Fat lambs were mostly good sorts, and there was a rise of Is per head. Extra prime, up to 16s 3d : freezers, 13s to 15s lid; and others down to 12s. Store sheep: Mostly odd lots. Hoggets, m wool, sold well from 15s 6d to 17s. and ewes and lambs all counted, 6s 3d to*Be 6d. Many pigs in the fat classes wer. not up to quality, but all sold well. Baxoners. 30s to 42s (3d to 3Jd per lb); porkers. 20s to 29s <3Jd to 4di; stores, 12s 6d to 18s 6d; suckers and weaners, 5s 6d to 10s 6d. McNICOI AND CO.'S OHAUPO SALE. Messrs. McNicol and Co. report that at their Ohaupo sale on Tuesday 950 head of cattle were yarded, which, with very few exceptions, were" well-bred, good sorts, in fresh condition. A large number of heifers were offered, and nearly all cleared. The bullocks and cows from Waingaro were an exceptionally fine lot, well bred and very forward. All were sold at full rates. Prices were as follows:—Bullocks: From S. and T. Wilson, from £5 15s to £7 18s; from G. McMillan, fwm £5 17s to £7 16s; from Colonel Dawson, £7 19s; from H. Bull, £7 19s; from Seavill Brothers, £6 17s to £8 10s; from A. Upton, £6 18s to £6 17s. Cows: From Seavill Brothers, £5 to £5 6s; other Waingaro sellers. £3 14s to £6 15s.
