THE ALAMEDA. The American, mail steamer Alameda reBumed he. voyage to Sydney about 9.30 a.m. yesterday, and is expected to arrive at that port on Sunday morning next. The Alameda will not make a long stay at Sydney thi3 voyage, and she is due back at Auckland on December 8, leaving the same day for Apia, Honolulu, and San Francisco. THE WAIKATO. THE ZEALANDIA. The Huddart-Parker steamer Zealand!? left Sydney for Auckland last evening, and is due on Sunday night next. She proceeds to East Coast and Southern ports .on Tuesday afternoon. NEW YORK STEAMERS. The A. and A. steamer Cornwall was to leave New York for Melbourne, Sydney, and New Zealand on the Ist inst., and was to be followed by the Devon about the 20th inst. THE NORVAL. Mr. J. J. Craig has been advised that the Ichooner Norval arrived at Apia from Auckland on the 28th ult.. after a good rim of 14 days from port to port, having encountered heavy weather on the passage. After discharge the schooner sailed on the 3rd inst. for Sophia Island to load guano for Auckland. THE EMU. The Island trading steamer Emu was sighted off Nukualofa by the s.s. Hao.roto on .the 17th inst. The Emu was then bound to the northward. THE STAR OF ENGLAND. The Tyser liner Star of England arrived at Melbourne from New York yesterday, and in discharge proceeds on to Sydney and then comes on to Auckland. Newton, arrived from Sydney and the Islands late last night, and anchored in the stream to await inspection by the health officer this morning. The steamer, which brings a cargo of raw sugar, fruit, etc., left Sydney on October 31, and reached Suva on the Btb inst. Called at Levuka on 'ho 10th, Apia on the 13th, Varan and Haapai on

the 15th. and left Nukualofa for Auckland on toe 17th, arriving at 11-30 p.m. yesterday; Experienced fresh north-west winds and seas from Sidney to Suva, followed by fine weather to arrival.
