The Ladies' Committee of the Lilerslie concert in aid ot the late Rev. Father Walter's memorial church, have cleared £16, which was handed over to Father Patterson for this object. The Mount Eden School Committee held its usual meeting on Monday evening, Mi. F. N. Andrews presiding. The October returns show 635 op the roll. It was reported that the wall on the Valley Road frontage had been rebuilt, making a great improvement in the grounds, and that other desirable work had been authorised. The committee, in compliance with a request made by the Board of Education, agreed to grant the school children a holiday on Friday next, to enable them to attend the children s flower show.
