REV. CHAS. CLARK'S RECITALS
All who remember the brilliant elocutionary triumphs of the Rev. Charles Clark during his former tours through New Zealand, under the management of Mr, R. S. Sirythe, will bo pleased to learn that the date of his reappearance has at length been fixed for next Monday, in the Opera House. It is worthy of note that Mr. Clark began his remarkable platform career in Auckland, whore 25 years ago, in.the Choral Hall, then the fashionable place of amusement, he delivered his oration on the "Tower of London," which still appears to be one of bis most popular subjects. Since then ho has visited nearly every English-speaking country in the world, and he has now come out specially to make a farewell tour in New Zealand, which his English engagements did not permit him to include in his lust Australasian tour. The brilliant orator has been enthusiastically received in the South, and it is owing to his having to give second seasons in Wellington and Christchurch that his appearance in Auckland has been so long delayed.
