LEAGUE OF WHEELMEN.

[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] CpMBTCntmCH, Monday. The Council of the League of New Zealand Wheelmen met to-night to consider the request of the Christchurch Cycling Club and Sutherland, and to rescind the resolution suspending Sutherland. Sutherland was represented by counsel, who contended that the Council of the League had acted illegally and against its own rules. A letter, was read from the South Canterbury centre, complaining that Sutherland had demanded " appearance money" at Geraldine St. Patrick s day sports. The Council decided to rescind last week's resolution, and to consider both charges on Thursday night, when Sutherland is to be invited to he present. It is understood that last week's resolution has been rescinded because the necessary legal technicalities had not then been complied with. ____^_ - ___ -
