VOTING IN COUNTY DISTRICTS.
The following telegram Las been sent to all county officers in the colony * "Section three of Local Government Voting Reform Act, 1899. now in operation, provides that county electors shall have following voting power, not exceeding three votes, namely, for ratable property not exceeding i £1000, one vote ; for ratable property ex- j ceeding £1000 and not exceeding £2000, two votes ; for ratable property exceeding ! £3000, three votes. i "These provisions will apply to approach-! ing county council elections. Colonial Sec- 1 retary suggests expediency of promptly cor-j recting county rolls, so as to show voting power now in force, and thereby prevent pos- i sible difficulties at election.— llugh : : Pollen'." 1 I There are a great number of county elec-; | tors who have hitherto exercised three, four.
