[lit telegraph,— ASSOCIATION.] UtJNF.DK, Friday. At the inquest at Port Chalmers on Thos. Auld, one of the cngineroom men on the Talune, whose body was found in the water, the evidence showed that he was last seen on Sunday, October 1, when he left to go on board to get up steam. A verdict of accidental death was returned. Deceased was a native of Glasgow, and was 28 or 30 years of age. His parents reside at Hobart. At Port Chalmers a man employed on a trawler was fined 10s for taking ashore 2Jlb tobacco from the Morayshire, on which duty had not been paid. One ot the crew was fined a similar amount for assisting by giving the tobaaco. Wellington, Friday. The session is expected to close to-night. A special train will be run on Sunday morning for the Northern members. The Wellington Woollen Company's balance-sheet shows a profit of £10,126. After paying a dividend of eight per cent., transferring £1000 to depreciation account, and £2000 to the reserve fund, there is £1109 to carry forward.
