PRICE OF EGGS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—ln the price of produce the farmers should have more consideration shown. It is stated that eggs at auction brought 6|d and 7d per dozen. If so, any grocer having a surplus should send them to auotion instead of bringing downs the retail price, which, of course, reacts upon the wholesale. The same remarks apply to fresh butter, the price of whioh should bo always in proportion to quality, instead of lumping various qualities under one uniform price.—l am, etc., Grocer.
