Matamata: The Waharoa School Committee wrote that they considered a school at Matamala unnecessary, as the number of children did not warrant such a course. It was resolved that a copy of the report be sent to tho applicants. Buildings: Correspondence was dealt with with reference to the erection of buildings at Lake Takapuna, Katikati North, and Waiotahi Creek. A Danger to a School: The secretary of the Hmitly School Committee, Huntly, wrote etating that the slack heap adjacent, to tho school, was a danger, and auirjregted that tho Taupiri Coal Company be notified of tho fact. A request io« a grant to cut away trees was also put in. The Chairman said it was a pity > that the school committee did not tnko more j interest in the school ground. Granted, subject to insuranco being I effected. Katikali North: The committee of this school wrote stating that they had no objection to the formation of a separate school at Bowentown. The. Board declined to consider the question. Pokeno: The head teacher of Pokono school agreed to the proposal to lease a portion of the school grounds. It was resolved that the lease be effected.
