SERIOUS BUGGY ACCIDENT

1 [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] | Hamilton, Wednesday. ! As Dr. and Mrs. Scanlon, of Cambridge, ; were journeying from here this afternoon their horse bolted, and, turning a corner just at Captain McPhersoo's residence, about two miles out, capsized the gig completely upside down, the horse landing on its back in a ditch. The occupants were thrown : violently into the centre of the road, and i Mrs. Scanlon had her skull severely fractured. A messenger immediately rode in for Dr. Brewis, and fortunately met him at the east end of the traffic bridge, and he was soon on the spot, and attended to the sufferers, and at once removed Mrs. Scanlon to the hospital, where she lies in a very precarious condition. Dr. Scanlon was not seriously injured. The horse was killed.
