KAURI 'GOI MARKET.

The following are our quotations of kauri glim. for the week ending January 25, 1899: — Poor ordinary, which comprises weak and rough-coated pieces, pickings and washed nuts, £38 to £40; ordinary, meaning hard, roughscraped gum, varying ih price according to the quantity of washed nuts, £48 to. £50; thrccquarter-scraped, meaning hard range gum, entirely free from washed 'nuts, price varying according to size, scraping, and quality. £62 and upwards; East Coast, £71 to £73; re-scraped, £105 and upwards. Arrivals for 25 days of .January, 650 tons. The market is quiet, but the tone is better then a. fortnight ago. Arrivals since the begnning of the year have not been so excessive as thoy were.
