AQUATICS.

AUCKLAND ANNUAL REGATTA. The committee of the Auckland Annual Regatta met at the Waitemata Hotel last night, Mr. Arthur H. Nathan presiding. It was decided to make the scow race an open event, and that post entries bo received. The dingey races (21 years and undor, and 17 years and under) were ordered to be rowed under the N.Z.A.K. Association rules, the time for entries to bo extended until to-morrow. A special dingey race (open) was placed on the programme. Messrs. Bradney and Binns' tender for the Vivid to convoy visitors to and from the flagship was accepted; as was also the tender of Hunter's Band to play on board of the flagship. The following entries were received:— Scow Race: Pukapuka, Orakoi, Shamrock. Yac'hts, Class A; Heartseaso, Volunteer, Tholma.

Yachts, Class C: Ida, Rainbow, Thetis. Fishing Boats (over 5 tons): Dolphin Coooe.

Allcomers' Sailing Handicap: Corina, Yum Yum, Rogue, Huia. Yachts, Class D: Zinita, Mahaki, Mizpah, Kotiri.

Pishing Boats (5 tons and under): Venice Half-decked Keel or Contrcbooard Boats, 22ft to 24ft waterline: Mavis, Peri, Mahoe, Maka Maile.

Half-decked boats, 23ft and under overall: Anita, Welcome Jack, Paua, Loma, Harrier, Edna, Waitangi, Melissa. One-raters and under, Y.R.A.: Bronzowing IV., Morcia. Pntikis: Kka, Rita, Hazel, Zoe, Boomerang, Rambler. .Junior tiigs (undor lOst): St. George's, West End.

Naval Volunteers end Man-o'-War Cutters: Dcvonport, Auckland. Stump Outriggers: P. H. Hughes (West End), A. Dacro (Auckland), H. V. E. Baker (Auckland), F. Hales (Auckland), W. Oliver (North Shore). Dingey Race (open): W. Parker, B. Hanua.

THE ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS. The crews from tho Poverty Bay, Gisborno. and Wangantii Clubs arrived yesterday, and were mot by Mr. Orombie, the secretary, and other officials. At tho mooting of tho Regatta Conimilk'O last night the secretary reported that the sub-committeo had visited Kauri Point, the Tamaki, Drunken Bay, and Takapuna, and inspected the courses, and it was decided that the committee of the Northern Rowing Union and tho secretary and treasurer of the Regatta Committee should meet at eight a.m. on Saturday and decide what course tho races should be rowed over. The Wakatorc, which is to act as flagship, will leave the wharf on her first trip to the place where the events will tako placo at a quarter-past one p.m. Mr. K. Anderson has been appointed judge of the races.
