TE AROHA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
The monthly mooting of the Te Aroha Borough Council was held in the Council offices, when thoro were prosent: The Mayor (Mr. Mills), in the chair, and Messrs. In accordance with notico given at the previous mooting, the Mayor moved to rescind the motion which provided for the concreting of the reservoir to bo made in connection with tho projected waterworks. Messrs. Hirst and Wallaco opposed the motion, holding that it was both safer and cleaner to havo the reservoir coated with concrete. Thoy thought that fresh oslimates should he secured, as they did not think there could bo such a difference, in tho cost of tho two styles of "ork. They moved and seconded an amendment accordingly, which on being put to the meeting was carried. In response to a ratepayer's petition, it was decided to asphalt the footpaths on both sidos of Whitakorslreet, hotwoon Konrick and Bridge Streots, the work to bo done by contract.
