TEAROHA AGRICULTURAL AND HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.
A general committee meeting of the above society was held in the Domain office, Te Aroha, when there were present: Messrs. Bowlor (2), Marshall, Hinton, Schofield, A. W. Edwards, C. B. Edwards, Rowo (2), May, Hetherington, and Hanks. In tho absence of the president and vice-presidents, Mr. A. Bowlor was voted to the chair. The schedule fo> the forthcoming show to be held on Saturday, Feburary 11, was submitted to the meeting and approved. A selection of judges was made, and tho following stewards were appointed:— stock, Messrs. Hinton. Hanks (2), Hetherington, Marshall, A. Bowler, F. Rowe, and Bellamy; pot plants, cut flowen, and fruit, Messrs. F. Strange, Rev. McFarland, and J. Rowe; vegetables and field produce, Messrs. A. J. Farmer, E. Bowler, and J, Borrio; dairy produce and poultry, Messrs. James Rowe, J. Brown, and B. Jackson ; sundries and cookery, Messrs. F. Strange, jun., T. Mclndoo, O. Cribb; fancy work, Mrs. McFarlaud. The advisability of having special train arrangements was discussed, and it was agreed to ask the Railway Department for excursion faros on that day, and also Iliac the ordinary train from Te Aroha to the Thames bo delayed till six p.m., one hour. A special train from Waikato will also bo asked for.—[Own Correspondent.]
