[by telegraph.— association.] Wellington', Monday. P. D. Mum, a well-known cyclist, charged with obtaining £110 by false pretences, was remanded. Counsel stated thai £50 of the £110 which forms the basis of the charge was paid before Muil' went away. CnitiSTCilunoii, Monday. toother sudden death occurred on Saturday that of a man named James Nicholson, about 57 years of age. Ho lias no known relatives in the colony.
