THE AUCKLAND ELECTRIC LIGHTING BILL.
In telegraph.—special correspondent.] Wellington, Monday. This Bill again comes before the committee to-morrow morning, when Mr. Campbell, on behalf of the promoters of the measure, gives his final address. The committee will then proceed to deliberate, the first question for consideration being whether the statements contained in the preamble have been proved. Even if the report of the committee should prove favourable, which I very much doubt, the Bill will be vigorously opposed on the floor of the House, the general opinion being that it will not be allowed to pass,
