ECCLESIASTICAL.
The anniversary services of the Ponsonby Baptist Church were held yesterday. The Res'. J. Parker preached in the morning, the Rev. J. S. Milne in the afternoon, and the Rev. A. H. Col'ins (pastor) in the evening. There were excellent congregations at each service. Special collections were taken up in aid of the church funds. The usual soiree wilt take place to-morrow evening, when a capital musical programme will he submitted, and addresses given by Rabbi Goldstein and the Rev, J, S. Milne. Refreshmen will be served in the schoolroom. Last evening, at the Grafton Road Wesleyan Church, the Rev. A. Mitchell conducted a praise servile. He delivered a sermon upon the subject of "Panlmodic Meditations," which was based upon Pstlni ciii. ■ 1 and 2. Illustrative of the sermon Mr. Mitchell, who was in excellent voice, eaiig Barri's "The Shadow of the Cross," and the new sacred song, " Sion." There was a very large congregation.
