ALLEGED THEFT OF A WATCH.
[l>Y telegraph.— correspondent.] Coromandel, Saturday. A LAI), named Albert Arthur Norman, aged 11 years, was charged to-day (before Messrs. Tierncy and Rhodes, J.P.'s) with the theft of a watch and chain, which, it is asserted, he took from the coat of one of the county road workmen, near Manaia. It is alleged that the men had shared their lunch with the boy. After lunch the boy walked away, and some time after tho watch and chain were missing. Constable Laws arrested Norman at Manaia, and recovered both watch and chain from him. The accused was remanded, and released on bail, until next week.
