[BY telegraph.— ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Friday. The Gazette issued to-day contains a proclamation prohibiting the introduction into this colonv of scale-infested trees and plants, and appointing Auckland and Wellington as My port*;of entry for plants as denned by the o'chard and Garden Pests Act of SS6 This step has been taken owing to the fact that considerable quantities of fruit ees ami plants infested with various species of scale insect? have been, and are st.ll imnortcd in New Zealand, to the danger and detriment of the fruit plantations of this colony. ,
