FRESH GOAL DISCOVERY.
Oun Taheke correspondent writes:—What is believed to be a valuable seam of coal lias been come across on Mr. A. Amnion's section here. Boring operations will shortly be commenced to test it, and, if satisfactory, arrangements will be made for working. The cost of output should be very small, and it could be placed in the nearest port at very slight expense after the original outlay. I sincerely trust that the test will be satisfactory, and that it will be worked, and that speedily, as it would provide work for nearly all the men in the district, and they want it.
