AUCKLAND EXHIBITION.
HOME INDUSTRIES' COMMITTEE. A meeting of the above committee was held a the secretary's office yesterday afternoon at four o clock. The following members SSri'Wulf*- (in the ■ chair), and Mesdames St. Clair, Nelson, Mtttael Browne A. H. Nathan, 'and Kent iS ?11\ C f and L >' nch - Miss Mb! Leod asked to be excused owing to illness. Ihe question 0 giving an exhibition of living chess and whist was fully disoussed. Or. Lowe being present at the early part of the meeting, gave a number of useful details. However, it was decided to adjourn this matter until next Friday at four o'clock p.m., when a full attendance is expected, when it is likely that a sub-committee will be elected to carry out the necessary details. , Ihe secretary reported'that space was being well applied for under the home industry section, and it is anticipated that the court as a whole will be a splendid one. lhe resignation of Miss Barton was received with regret, and it was decided that the secretary should communicate with Mrs. Devnre, asking her to act on the committee, as the representative of the Ponsonbv district. ' ' Special attention is directed to the fact that those who intend to apply to be members of the Exhibition choir orchestra will liavo to do so to-day, as all such applications have to be lodged with the secretary before one o'clock.
REPRESENTATION OF COROMANDEL.
