W. P. Reeves), to the effect that he ie making full enquiries as to the cost-, etc., of the proposed statue of Her Majesty. 1 He has been in communication with the sculptor to the Queen, and will shortly forward full ' particulars to the Statue Committee, who will therefore take no further action until the receipt ,of the AgentGeneral's j letter. When this communication is received a meeting of the committee will be held, the final details in connection with the ordering of the statue arranged, and preparations made : for the carrying out of the proposed work as soon as possible. . ;, '* i;,. j' v '■
