TREATMENT OF THE AGED NEEDY.

INQUIRY AT WELLINGTON. [tj TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Monday. An enquiry began to-day into the charges against Mr. and Mrs. Short, matter and matron of the Home for the Aged Needy. The charges are 13 in number, and include allegations of ill-treatment of inmates both physically and by interference with their food, want of respect for the religious tenets of inmates, and generally of treating them as though inferiors.
