SLY GROG-SELLING ATKAWHIA

[by telkoraph.-own correspondent,] Raglan, Monday. The Kawhia sly-grog casee were tried today before Captain Jackson, S.M., and Mr. Wallit.J.P. Accused all pleaded guilty. Patterson was lined £7 with costs £2 17s 6d. ' The six Maoris, viz., Ratihi, Rewi, Wetina, Tai Taui, Wetere Rawiti, and Rangi Kamana were each fined £5, with costs 17a. Amongst the liquor seized were 54 bottles of beer, which assumed a very muddy appearance when shaken.
