ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.

An adjourned meeting of the Auckland Football Association was held last night at the Occidental Hotel, Mr. Vincent E. Rice presiding. After a lengthy discussion, the meeting decided'to abolish the present district scheme, and revert to the club system. The balance-sheet presented showed a debit balance of £116e 6d. A committee, consisting of the president, and Me<sn. Dacre and George, was appointed t« deal with the question of securing a ground for the Association; and Mr. W. Heather was appointed assistant secretary. It was decided to send a letter of thanks to Messrs. E. Porter and Co., for a trophy presented. A: very handsome cup was presented to the Association through Mr. A, Heather, but the name of the donor was not disclosed. The unknown giver was accorded a hearthy vote of thanks through Mr. Heather. On the motion of Mr. George, it was resolved to present caps to the winning teams ef the Public Schools Association.
