TO THE EDITOR. Sib,—Surely your correspondent re th» above is suffering from the old Adam of I religious bigotry. Personally 1 have been noticing the new set of men who do duty on our streets, »nd, without knowing anything of their religious views, I have come to the conclusion that they are a stalwart, respectable body of men. I have seen them at ' places of amusement where their patience has been sorely tried by hoodlums, and admired their tact and discretion. Bat they now - appear to have one great fault: they are . mostly Roman Catholics. And yet we live • in the nineteenth century.— am, etc., E.F.G, •
