THE GREENWOODS.
The Greenwoods are to be congratulated upon the success which last night attended the opening of their season at the City Hall At half-past seven money had to be turned away from all parts of the house, and when the curtain rose there was not a spare fool of available space unoccupied. And that the large audience was pleased there was not the slightest doubt, steady sequence being peremptorily interrupted, frequently, in order to repeat particular items that caught the fancy. "Barbara' was played as a curtain-raiser, with Miss Maribel Greenwood in the name part; Miss Agatha as Lilie; Mr. J. Linden as Cecil; and Mr. Walter Steins as Mr. Finnicuui. Then Miss Maribel Greenwood ably rendered the grand scena from Wallice's " Lurline." But the sisters were seen at their best in what was described in the bill lis a " musical parody," but what in reality was an exceedingly amusing burlesque— was Romeo and Juliet up to Date." In this beautiful faces and fine figures charmingly dressed showed to advantage. Miss Agatha Greenwood as Romea and Miss Roberta Greenwood, Mercutio, both playing well together, while Miss Nora Greenwood was a charming Juliet. Mr. Robin Hay was Capulet, Mies F. Maxwell, Paris; Mr. A. Carrington, Tybalt; Mr. Walter Steins, tho apothecary; Mr. G. Linden, Friar Laurence; Miss M. Brierly, the fat boy; Miss Eagleson, Lady Capulet; and Mr. j. Collins, the nurse. All these parts were written and taken in the verj opposite, and very agreeable topsyturvy dom it proved. The performance will be repeated this evening and two following nights.
