DROWNING ACCIDENTS
[by telegraph.— association.] Wellington*, Monday. The body of a man named Kirkwaod, until recently an inmate of the Lunatic Asylum, has been found in the harbour. John Anderson, a flaxmiller, of Foxton, was drowned while crossing from Kapiti Island to the mainland. The boat capsized. Ddnkdin, Monday. Two young men, named James Aitken (o! Paradise Lake) and E. W. Watkin (ol Dunedin), were drowned yesterday by the capsizing of a boat on Lake H'akatipu. John Arthur Shanks, aged nine, has been drowned at Mussel Bay.
