CHURCH MEETINGS.
MAKETU AND ARARIMU SOUTH. The annual meeting of the Maketu Presbyterian congregation was held in the schoolroom, Maketu, on the 9th April, the Rev. T. Norrieinthe chair. The treasurer's report for 1896 was submitted as followsSusteutation fund, £4 Is 7Jd; Dayspring fund (collected by the children of the Sabbath school), 6s sd; Sabbath school fund. £4; incidental expenses, lis; total, £819s OJd. The report from the branch station at Ararimu was also submitted as followsSustcmation fund, £2 lis; Dayspringfund, 3a 9d: total, £2 14s 9d; grand total, £11 13s 9Jd. The reports were adopted and thanks voted to the committee and to Miss Lottie Gaze for presiding at the organ. The following were appointed the committee for the current year :-Messrs. T. Harkness, P. Barclay, G. McDowell, and W. Allen; subcommittee for Ararimu, Messrs. G. Sutton, M. Sinclair, and D. Brisbane.—{A Correspondent.]
