French fresh rolls, lis to 16s; baskets, extra mild, 1245; first quality, 112 a | seconds, 102s; crocks steadier at 90 i to 100s. Danish finest in steady demand at 112s to 114s; fine, 100s to 106s. The market for English cheese has been in an almost lifeless condition during the week, traceable to the exceeding shortness of supply, and the uselessneas of making inquiries where there is next to nothing to choose from, and only odds and endi have been purchased at the stiff prices demanded. Finest white Canadian, 60s to 625; coloured, 58s to 60s. English quiet, and stocks very light. Finest Cheddar, 763, to 80s; fine, 68s to 70s; Cheddar loaf, 70s; Wilts loaf, 68s to 70s. Dutch: Owing to large arrivals of Friesland full creams are rather depressed. Edam;, 54s to 58s; Goudas, 46s to 545; Derby, 50* to 635. Factories : Edams, 36s to 445; Uoudas, 32s to 425; Derby, 445. New Zealand is in activo request from 56s to 58s, and occasionally 60s. Glasgow cheese was thus reported: Arrivals tight this week, and trade very quiet, the high prices oheoking business. For any. thing specially fine, however, extreme quotations have been made. Dunlops, 52s to 635; Cheddars, 56s to 68s. Cheshire cheese in the Manchester district had been of an active character.
