Early in February the annual sals of seed potatoes was held by Mr. A. Doda in the Edinburgh Corn Exchange, There was a good attendance, but rather a slow sale, the prices obtained being in many pases disappointing. The following kinds were disposed of:—Dalmnhoys, £2 17s 6d and £1 15s per ton; Up-to-Date, £2 10s to Si 17s 6d; Jennie Deans, £25», £2 lOi, £1 17s 6(1; British Queen, £13 per ton; llaincrop, second, £1 5? to £1 7s 6d; Sutton's Early Regent", £1 10s, £1 12s 6d; Sutton's Seedlings, £2 10s, £2 ss, A number of samples of other kinds, were passed over, the price offered not being considered i satisfactory. Another sale of seed potatoes was held by Mr. T. Stevenson at the farms of Knpwoa, Fulwood, and Middletoo, near Johnstone. There was a large attendance.
