VITAL STATISTICS.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—MUSS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, Thursday. The vital statistics for March are given as follows :—

Tho total birth? in tho above boroughs amounted to 377, as against 319 in February, an increase of 58. The 'loathe in March were 168, an increaso of 11 on the number in February. Of tho total deaths males contributed 96, and females 72, Fifty-five of the deaths were nf children under five years of age, being 3274 per cent, of the whole number; 49 of these wore under one year of age. There were 31 deaths of persons of 65 years and upwards.
