(BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. Thk regulations undor tho Alcoholic Liquors Inspection Act, 1896, are gazetted. Tho close season for seals is further extended until June 30, 1898. Mr. J. M, Betham has been appointed Judge of the Native Land and Validation Courts, and District Land Registrar, Registrar of Deeds, and Examiner of Titles at Gisborno. Mr. G. M. S. Nelson, of Palmerston North, is gazetted coroner within tho colony. The war modal of New Zealand has been issued to William Bardell. St. George's bay, April 23, is gazetted a public holiday in Government offices throughout the colony.
