ASSESSMENT COURT.

OBJECTIONS TO THE CITY COUNCIL VALUATIONS. The sitting of the City Assessment Court, presided over bv Mr. H. W. Brabant, S.M., was resumed yesterday, to hear objections to the City Council's valuations for rating purposes. Mr. P. A. Philips, Town Clerk, and Mr. W. Gulliver, valuer, represented the Council. The foljowing cases were disposed GRAFTON WARD. Anglican General Tiust Board (Mr. W. S. Cochrane, secretary), Symond-streec, £38 and £38. Reduced to £32 and £26. PONSONBY WARD. New Zealand and River Plate Land Mortgage Company (Mr. Mason, secretary), change of name agreed to in respect of property in Marine Parade. NORTH WARD. Mrs. E. Cooper, houses, Moore-street, £24. Reduced to £17, by consent, A. H. Grainger, stores, etc., Queen-street, £250. Reduced to £200. Stores, Wyndhamstreet, £80. Reduced to £70 by consent. Macky, Logan, Steen, and Company, warehouse, Darby-street, £320. Reduced to £300 by consent. Shops, Queen-street, £100. Reduced to £80 by consent Offices, etc., Victoria-street, £230. Reduced to £190 by consent. Store, yards, etc., off Three Ball Lane, £100. Reduced to £70 by consent. John Marshall, Hobson-street, £70. Reduced to £60 by consent. J. C.
