AUCKLAND AUTUMN MEETING. A heavy fog, which enveloped Clio racecourse yesterday morning, interfered considerably with touting the training, but the work was only of a moderate character. St. Paul, accompanied by Markinch, put in a circuit on the plough, moving in satisfactory manner. Nestor did not attempt anything beyond half-pace. Separately, St. Conon and Defiant spurted about five furlongs both colts moving freely. Porangi Potae, Haria, and Lufra each performed useful work. During the afternoon Daystur, accompanied by Armilla, galloped a mile and a-quarter on "the plough moving strongly. Nestor has been claiming a little attention for the Easter Handicap, and in conjunction with his stable mato Miss Nelson has been supported to win a few hundreds. Acceptances for the following ovente to be run on the opening day are due to-night at nine o'clock :—Tradesman's Handicap, Handicap Hurdles, Eden Handicap, Onslow Stakes, Pony Handicap, and the Railway Handicap. The weight (Sat 71b) meted out to Eton in the Onslow Stakes, was regarded as so unfair that the colt was struck out of that race yesterday. AUCKLAND TROTTING CLUB AUTUMN MEETING. Yesterday Mr. W.
