The quarterly meeting of the Whnngarei Weeleyan Circuit was held on April sth. The circuit stewards had a new experience —the reporting of a credit balance. The quarter commenced with a debb of £22 and ended with 15h 2d in hand. The doxology was sung most) lustily, A resolution was unanimously passed expressing regret that the circuit was to lose" the services of the Rev. J. Law, owing to the failure of his health. Thanks for his fiithful work during the year and best wishes for recovery were tendered. Mr. J. \V. Burton, student of Prince Albert College, was heartily thanked for his help during the quarter, and assured that best wishes followed him for success in his new sphere of labour ad Paeroa. Throughout/ the circuit! a most hopeful feeling prevails. The adveutof the Rev. B. P. Rothwell, the new minister, is looked forward to with undisguised pleasure, and it requires no great prophet to predict a "good time" for the circuit. J. Tonion Garlick, amongst other seasonable goods, has just opened np a splendid lot of eider down quilts and printed plnshettes, very handsome and durable for hangings; also printed and plain art serges iu various colours.
