NEW ZEALAND MINES IN LONDON.
Press Aswciatiiin.—Elec'jic Teleuraph.-Copyrlghti London, April 6. The O.P.Q. Gold Mining Company, Waipari (?), New Zealand, has been formed with a capital of £150,000, of which £80,000 is offered to the public. UuNlioi.v, Wednesday. The option of the O.P.Q. Reef mine (Otago Pioneer Quart/.) was acquired some time ago by the New Zealand Minerals Company, as announced by cable. The company has been floated on the London market.. It is proposed to use electricity as the motive power at tho mine. Tin 0.P.Q., though not the first quartz discovered, was the first reef worked in Otago in the early days.
